E-Statement Questions

What are e-statements?

E-statements are an electronic version of your mailed statement. The electronic statement is identical to the paper statement and can be viewed, printed or saved right from your computer.

Will I still receive a paper statement?
Each person can decide individually if they would like to continue to receive the paper statement. You are automatically enrolled in e-statement when you register. If you'd like to receive paper statements instead, click on the Profile tab in your account.

When will I receive my e-statements?
Paper statements can take up to 3-4 days using mail delivery. With e-statements, you can bypass this and receive your statements days earlier.

How will I know when my e-statement is ready for viewing?
You will receive an email notification letting you know that your statement is ready for viewing. You can access your statement from any computer by logging into your online account.

Who should I contact if I don’t receive my email notification?
If any questions arise, please reference the 'Contact Us' section on the left.

Can I have my e-statement notification sent to two different locations?
Your e-statement notification can only be sent to one location, but you can access your account from any computer.

How long will my statement remain online?
You can view current and past statements and payments for 12 months, beginning with your June 2013 statement, if applicable.

How do I view my statements after the 12 month period?
All statements can be saved on your personal computer. Simply open up the statement and select File > Save or click the "Save Statement" icon in your online account.

How do I view my monthly statements?
Once you have logged into your account, simply select the statement icon to view your statement.

Is there a charge for e-statements?
No, e-statements are completely FREE!

Is my personal information secure with e-statements?
All of your personal information is password protected and is secured with a 128-bit encryption to ensure your personal information is secure.

Can I print my e-statement?
Any statement can be printed just as any document on your computer.

What if I change my email address?
Log in to your personal account and select Profile. If at any time you need to change your address, name or contact information, all information can be updated on this tab.

How do I opt out of e-statements?
Log in to your personal account and update your profile by selecting paper statements only.

How will you use my email address?
By enrolling in e-statements and using the online payment access, you automatically are enrolled to receive email appointment confirmation reminders. If you'd like to unsubscribe to email appointment confirmation reminders, you may do so at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button in your email.

Online Payment Questions

Is there a charge to me for making a payment online?

No, there is no charge to our patients for making a payment online.

What payment methods are accepted online?
You may make credit card payments using credit cards with a Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®, or American Express® logo. You also have the option of making a payment via an e-check.

Where do I find the verification number on my credit card?
The card verification number is a three-digit number on the back of Visa®/MasterCard®/Discover® or a four-digit number on the front of American Express®.

Am I required to pay the total amount due?
By making a payment less than the statement balance, you acknowledge that a partial payment does not satisfy the total amount balance and Great Expressions may pursue further collection efforts. You may call us at 888-SMILE-80 to speak with a Billing and Collections Specialist.

How are partial payments applied to my statement balance?
If you are not able to pay in full and would like to make a partial payment, you have the option of selecting the specific procedure from your statement that you would like to apply your payment to. You will see this option in the payment screen.

When will my payment be posted to my account?
Your payment will be posted within three to five business days of the transaction. A receipt confirming your payment will also be e-mailed to you.

Can I view my payment history online?

I received a payment confirmation from my online payment, but when I called my local office, they said I still have a balance. What happened?
Payments are posted in our system within three to five business days of the transaction.

Am I still able to make payments at my local Great Expressions office?
Yes. You can make payments online or in person; however, your online statement balance won't be updated until your next statement, if applicable.

Will I receive a separate statement for each dependent on the account?
No. You will continue to receive one statement for your account as you did with regular paper statements. Your statement balance will reflect all payments due for all dependents on your account.
